The ministry of Jesus reaches its crescendo with His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. It’s during His final week of life that Jesus intensifies His rebuke of the Jewish leadership that includes a story about a longsuffering landowner, his productive vineyard, and its wicked tenants. To His Jewish audience it would have been familiar imagery—and it was intended to teach them about God and themselves.
