Within each of us lies a desire to see justice done, and to deny such feelings doesn’t make them go away. Truth is, expressing our anger to God in regard to injustice is not only good therapy, it’s also good theology. This is borne out in this song of David as he feels himself drowning in a sea of trouble in spite of being innocent. But David’s words are also prophetic—foreshadowing the experiences of Jesus.
